The research itself was set out to fill a lacuna that currently exists in the critical works related to English translations of children’s fiction from the Western Balkans. This study aims to contribute to the field of Translation Studies by increasing general knowledge of the translation trends of English translation of children’s books from the Western Balkans and the images of the Western Balkans presented in and represented by these translations.
Project Description
The idea for this blog came during my research on Western Balkans children's literature translated into English. While doing the research I have developed a pretty exhaustive list of books for children originally published in Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro, which have been translated in English. I wish to share some of these books with everyone who is interested in multicultural readings for kids.
